Most people get confused with with books to use in their IIT-JEE preparations and they go with too many books which does not only mess their studying time and thet get fruatrated.
I suggest you to do the following:-
- read ncert throughly
- take one refresher (only one) and read it with ncert to build good concepts.
It can either be Comprehensive,S.L Arora, Pradeep etc. Choose one among them and stick with them. Don't care what others are refering as they are not going to write your exams.I don't prefer HC Verma as refresher.
- After going through the refresher and ncert take one book containing problems and solve them. I would recommend HCV and DC pandey for that. Arihant publications problems books are good for JEE. DON'T read theory from them just do the problems and see the solutions if you don't get it. Study according to the timetable from problem books. (Read my second article on how to make timetable for Jee)
At last I should list out the books:-
● Mathematics- NCERT, Arihant.
(For refesher you can take Mathematics in 99 days or RD Sharma Mathematics)
● Physics- NCERT, ARIHANT BOOKS, HCV, DC Pandey
(Refresher- SL Arora, Comprehensive or Pradeep)
● Chemistry- NCERT and OP Tandon books. Arihant for problems
Also if you are not good moneywise go to the local book market and purchase books with barganing but take only Ncert books and refreahers. You can take them as secondhand books also. For problem books only purchase latest edition as the pattern keeps changing year after year.
I hope that I have helped you. Ask your doubts in comments if you have. Happy learning. Ciao ;)
